MiaBella Marie Scott

Yesterday was such an exciting day for the Scott family. We all went to the court house at 9am to be there when our little MiaBella was adopted.  It was so nice that all 9 of us got to be there. She was so cute when she told the Judge that her name was MiaBella Scott, she was a princess and that her mom was going to adopt her.

The Ontario Country Courthouse in Canandaigua, NY is so beautiful and has so much history.  It is the courthouse where the trial of Susan B. Anthony  was held in 1873.

Our Judge was so nice and really tried to make MiaBella feel comfortable. Here is a couple of pictures of her signing her adoption papers and sitting in his judge chair (princess chair)

I remember the first day we got her.  It was just before her second birthday.  She was such a cute little thing with big blue eyes and blond hair.  As soon as she came she settled right in but was still very shut down and would never smile.  It only took a few months until her true personality shown through.

Here some of the fun things we did in 2012 with MiaBella.  She has grown so much I can't believe how fast time has gone by. She is such a fun loving, joyous, happy, sassy little soul.  She brings so much happiness in our family and we feel so blessed to have her.

We are waiting to adopt Jamir and Kareem and we are hoping it will happen in 2014 but for know are family is enjoying spending time together before Tera gets married and moves to Italy and Cassidy graduates and goes off to college.

 

So blessed that I have wonderful children and a great husband.  Such a privilege to have these sweet little babies in our home to bless us and keep us young. And to have such a wonderful Christmas gift to have MiaBella as officially part of the family.

Fall Camping in Letchworth Park

We had such a great time this weekend camping at Letchworth State Park.  This time of year is so beautiful.  I love all the fall colors and the beauty of Letchworth.  We went with three other families and had such a great time eating dinner together and playing games.  Letchworth also had a huge craft fair this weekend so I got to do two of my favorite things, camping and looking at crafts.  We hiked through the three falls and even Kareem enjoyed the walk. It's so fun to get away with my family, spend time together and just enjoy one another.

Camping

I love Camping!  I have loved camping since I can remember.  My family has always camped every holiday and all summer.  When I got married,Jeff Scott loved to camp just as much as I do.  We started off camping in a tent, worked are way up to a tent trailer and now we have a travel trailer that we love.  It was taken us to so many fun places and has given us the opportunity to see a lot of the US. My favorite things about camping is to be in the beautiful surroundings preferably around water. I love to sit around the camp fire and roast marshmallows, sing camp songs, play cards and board games until late, play ladder ball, croquet, yard dart and what ever game we can find to play outside. Last but not least making homemade ice cream.  We just came home from our annual trip to Fairhaven, NY camping for Labor Day.  The last end of the summer hurrah before the kids go back to school. Hopefully we can make a couple more camping trips before the end of the season and it gets too cold.  It bring my family close and we enjoy spending this time together. Yes I love camping....

 

 

 

Foster Parent Picnic

This last Saturday was our Foster Family Picnic.  It was so much fun to see other families and their foster kids.  It was on beautiful Canandaiqua Lake and we had a great time.  We meet one of MiaBella's half siblings and the foster family she lives with.  I love being a foster mom and having these sweet children in our home.  What a blessing they are.
